Terry's Hawk 30 head is in the exact form that I would order one if it were for myself, no frills, just amazing real Class A EL-84 tone. If you took the original 62' version and stripped off everything you don't need, left a very functional tonestack and made the cut control behave like a presence(cut controls worked backwards) this is what you would end up with. A simple nothing in your way tone machine capable of string definition, spank, chime and sparkle that would make the original run for the hills. The grind comes on about 5 on the volume knob and for most thats where the smile on their face becomes more evident. Each and every time I build this amp I'm amazed at how simplistic yet toneful it is. Terry got a winner wrapped in a cool understated elegant package.
