Judd purchased this 5E7 bandmaster "kit" on ebay, assembled the board and then sent it to me to complete. It utilizes NOS Black Cat(all tested great) and Sprague capacitors, Allen Bradley carbon comp and various metal film resistors, ceramic tube sockets, CTS pots, NOS Schumacher transformers and a Mercury Magnetics choke. I added a bias pot, test points and an impedance selector switch. Once I tossed the all of the stranded wire(yech!)It went together without a hitch and sounds fantastic. Following the build pics are a few words from Judd.

Hi Craig, Well, I've been trying to wait 'til I got the speaker back from Ted before I sent you a "it sounds great" email, but I couldn't wait any longer. The wife and kids were all out of the house this weekend so I got out all my guitars and rang the amp out full for a bit - you were right. It sounds pretty f'ing good! I got 5881s in there, a 5R4, and some RCA 12ax7s and it was sweet and thick sounding at almost any setting. Not too loud, only got two speakers in there. The bass control is more interactive than a bf, it seems like cranking it up past 4 or so does something I like to the high mids. (true?) the treble adds gain as expected. the presence has a very slight effect, I may not use it. I ran it through the normal channel first, then through the bright. then I jumped both (normal #1 into Bright #2 guitar into bright #1) and played 'til my fingers hurt! I can't wait to show it off! (I will have to woodshed a bit, I'm rusty as hell) Dude, thanks again for the great job you did, in all I'm very happy and have recommended you highly to all my music buds! That revibe kit is looking pretty good from here....=) Judd
