BLUTBAD is German for "Blood Bath". These amps are rooted in Hard Rock/Metal/Goth inspired tones and were created for musicians searching for a durable and versatile EL-34 powered amp. While capable of ripping your face off at 50 paces with sheer overdriven volume, it also has crisp and articulate clean tones. At home, on stage, or in the studio, it delivers extremely rich harmonic overtones, thick lasting sustain, and tight defined punch when you need it. String definition and clarity is not compromised on this amp as with other high gain designs. These amps take pedals extremely well and running an overdrive pedal produces a wall of fat thick crunch that is hard enough for ANY style of music. The MK II designation is applied to an amp which has been "modified" from the original design and which may have options such a Tube Buffered effects loop, Post instead of Pre phase inverter Master Volume, or tube vice solid state rectification.
