Guitars Built Your Way

My guitars, like my amp designs are made to order so you can use your imagination and put together a guitar for your specific needs, or your dream guitar. My resources for a build can range from custom luthier supplied exotic woods or off the shelf aftermarket parts from such great suppliers as Warmoth, USA Custom Guitars and their peers which hands down are way above par for quality based on what you find hanging in a music store these days.

This is my CDT or "Collins Dragstrip T" designed with the ultimate authentic vintage Rockabilly / Country tele tone in mind - features:
Hollow 1.9lb swamp ash body with tummy cut rear and white bound front
TV Jones TV classic filtertrons
Tonepros/graphtec tunamatic bridge & graphtec nut
1.5 degree angled neck pocket
Fatback compound radius neck
Stainless steel frets
USA B5 Bigsby Tremolo
Gold metalflake & amber tint with nitro clearcoat

Just an example of the many variations available on this model.

Relics from Mild to Wild

If you are a fan of the naturally aged and well played vintage pieces from the 50's and 60's but prefer not to collect the original at $30K each then you may prefer my Reli'que Series. Whether you prefer a few light scuffs and finish checking, or a full blown bar beater look, you can find it here. Complete custom relics built to taste are available as well as a relic treatment to your existing guitar. Prices for relicing your own range from $150 - $375 and depend largely on current finish type, metal, wood and prep work required to get it where you want it prior to new finish application. 100% nitro lacquer is utilized on all customer owned and custom built Collins Reli'ques.

If you have a special build request or relic job in mind drop me an email or give me a call for a quote. My guitar line will eventually feature five models to include S, T, LP and a full size hollow archtop design. I've got my second prototype "T" design, the "RAT ROD" Tele on the bench and it should be showing here soon. A 2" thick, double F hole, semi hollow, ash/mahogany body, in shoreline gold with butterscotch blonde and black 50's pinstripes and black hardware. It looks like it's going down the track sitting still.
