The Kensington series takes it's name from the birthplace of the father of British Rock & Roll, Jim Marshall. Available in original "45" and modified form, this series nails the tone made famous by numerous players since it's availability in September of 1962. Some think the original 45 indicated actual power out but it was actually a 30 - 35 watt amp depending on the bias setting. Mine are available in true to original form or heavily modified in 35 and 70 watts. The original amp as you may or may not know was based on the venerable USA 59' Bassman and is the same today barring a few resistor changes, output tube and transformer selection. It's the tube rectified choice for british inspired blues and rock tones that you have heard for over 40 years. It utilizes KT66, 6L6GC/5881 or EL34 output tubes.
