The Rocket 50 is my Kensington design when it was early in the prototype phase. It was conceived by attempting to capture the tones of the venerable 5F6-A 59' Bassman and the 62' JTM-45 in a single, non channel switching design. The amp runs a higher than normal plate voltage, a custom amount of power supply filter capacitance and stages, a negative feedback control, internal channel tie switch, and a custom wound 4/8/16 ohm selectable output transformer which allows you to get an absolute killer, sag driven, thick and creamy USA blues tone, or a peel the paint off the walls, blistering, grindy, British tone in the same amp. From blues clean to blues scream it delivers a soulful, articulate and complex tone that will reach out and get your attention.
